skyblue1 Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 I'm not in a relationship at this moment in time. I was having a conversation with my guy friend last night about commitment. I was just wondering why people get temped and cheat on their parnter. Does it have anything to do with bordem or do you just fall out of love?
Anna. Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 I think its more about their lack of commitment than boredom or "falling out of love."
alpha femme Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 A lot of people have low self-esteem, and they seek validation when they cheat.
valiantv Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 I think if you get tempted but don't cheat out of willpower alone, or just because it wouldn't be honest, there's a problem. Unless you're briefly tempted (like a craving) and overcome the temptation and go on to live a happy life with your other half, i.e. a once-off thing. But if you're constantly being tempted by other people and resisting out of will-power and strong commitment then you've nothing to be proud of. In that case I disagree with Anna, it's more to do with boredom and falling "out of love".
