On The Road Posted February 7, 2007 Posted February 7, 2007 well i have a quiet simple question. i know this guy, who is my age. and i work with him. he works in a different department, so im not tooo worried about what would happen if something went sour. but he seems reeeeally shy. and i have put myself out there more than usual. so i was wondering how appropriate it would be to ask him out myself? gah. i never do anything like that. but im not sure if he's just not interested or if he's just really shy...
zxcvbnm1982 Posted February 7, 2007 Posted February 7, 2007 Don't feel shy about asking him out. Maybe ask him to meet for coffee or something laid back like that after work. To put both of you at ease, don't emphasize the "date" part of it--just two coworkers getting together to unwind after work. If you can't push yourself to do that, keep talking with him and try to loosen him up. If he is shy, it might be hard to tell if he's into you or not, but try anyway. Find things you two have in common. And don't for a second feel like because you're a girl that you can't make the first move! Be bold and daring and confident, and ask that guy out! Hope this helped!
ghost69 Posted February 7, 2007 Posted February 7, 2007 yeah, don't communicate 'date'. that could be grounds for dismissal if anybody knew. how old is this guy? maybe he is inexperienced and that is why he is so shy. he might not know how to react to a woman talking to him. .........................................................................................................................................................................................
KittyKat99 Posted February 7, 2007 Posted February 7, 2007 i agree with zxcvbnm if you keep it light he will most likely be very receptive then if he really enjoys himself he might make the next move for you!
