How well do you know her?

Get to know her well and make sure both of you are comfortable around eachother.

Perhaps if she feels for you too you might not have to tell her, she'll tell you.

If you detect hints that she perhaps likes you, don't get cocky and make sure you think before you speak, don't come out with a off-putting sentance like I've seen happen so many times.

Be natural. Try and be as calm as you can.

If you just can't wait, write a little note on paper telling how you feel and somehow slip it to her.
