What music do you listen to when exercising/working out?

What kinds of music do you like to listen to when you are exercising/working out?

Of course techno works by default, but recently I have found that traditional Moroccan music does wonders. Everything in it has a strong rhythmic pulse... and even though there is often chanting and singing in Arabic (which I don't know a word of), it's awesome to have on while you're exercising for long periods of time. Just imagine yourself walking accross North Africa and the sweat pouring down your face from the 110 degree heat.

I listen to all kinds of middle-eastern / N. African -type music. But my focus is more on Arabic music than the N. African. Only N. African musician I like is Cheb Mami (he's Algerian, so his songs are a mixture of Arabic and French). But yes, all that kinda music is AWESOME.

I usually buy the CDs that have mixes of songs on them, like "Now That's What I Call Arabia," and "The Best Arabian Album." Look into Amr Diab, his songs are cool.

Like others have said, anything with a good beat. My workout mix on my iPod includes a lot of techno (esp. Darude), some Middle Eastern (Cheb Khaled), some Indian/Bollywood, a lot of Latin (salsa, merengue), some dancier reggae, and some 90s grunge rock (Screaming Trees, Smashing Pumpkins, etc).

Darude! Classic...

For cardio I need something fast like trance or any beats that are not slow. Working out, something more aggressive like hip hop or metal. When I ride it's usually mixture of vocal trance, some hip hop, metal, eurobeat, DnB and whatever I feel like listening to that day.
