Relative of abuse victim - what to do

I've just found out that two of my siblings were abused by my brother when they were children - and am at a loss as to what I should do. Both are getting advice, have told me but there has been no confrontation. I had a vague memory of him being asked by my parents about this, but was never sure whether it was something I had dreamt/misheard while half asleep, and otherwise had no idea.

 

If anyone has any experience or advice I would be grateful. Right now I feel extremely numb, shocked and unsure how to handle the whole affair.

Do you believe this happened? Did they tell your parents what was going on at that time?

 

Be there for them, tell them you love them. Oh my this must be a tough situation to be in, I cant imagine.

Very difficult indeed. Sexual abuse can leave deep emotional scars that need to be handed with great sensitivity. Just be as supportive as you can without passing judgement.
