whyisthatlegal
Hey I was just wondering. There is no possible way I could be pregnant after taking Plan B...right? Link to comment
DBL
Why aren't you using condoms? DBL Link to comment
whyisthatlegal
Well, I didn't even mean to do it. I was, stupidly, really really drunk falling asleep and this guy kind of did it anyway even though when I was sober I said no. So anyways. He used a condom but took it off half way through. I don't even remember this. Link to comment
DBL
That's date rape isn't it? What is Plan B? DBL Link to comment
whyisthatlegal
I don't know what it is. I pretty much told you all I can remember and also I kept saying "But I'm a virgin" Cause I was. Plan B is the morning after pill. Link to comment
DBL
Yeah I don't know much about plan B. But I will give you some friendly advice...if you feel like you are going to pass out at a party...find a way home. This is how you get diseases and stuff. DBL Link to comment
Hope75
Hey There, It sounds as though you were really taken advantage of here. Are you OK? Plan B is said to be about 95% effective if taken within the first 24 hours following the sexual encounter. That number decreases slightly if taken withn 24-48 hours of the encounter, and it can be taken up to 72 hours after the encounter and still be 89% effective. I would also urge you to visit your gyno or a planned parenthood clinic and get tested for STI's, since it sounds like this guy wasn't particularly concerned with using condoms. Do you know him? Any thoughts about pressing charges for what he did to you? Link to comment
whyisthatlegal
Thanks for replying so far. Well, I already took it the next day. This was about a week ago. I was just wondering if it's 100% effective. I have an appointment already at the planned parenthood in a couple of days. Link to comment
southerngirl
This sounds like rape. If you said no and he did it anyway, that is rape. Have you told your parents? What about the police. Link to comment
whyisthatlegal
But I don't know if it really is. God I sound so dumb right now. I feel it too. I didn't necessarally say yes, but I didn't say no either. Well, not when he was doing it anyway...So I don't think it's really condsidered rape. Is it? Link to comment
Hope75
Hey There, I am pretty sure that if you said no beforehand, and if you were at the time of the encounter too intoxicated to give consent, and the fact that you are 16, makes it rape. How old is this guy who did this to you? Link to comment
BrokenWingedFaery
Consent given under the influence isn't consent, in the eyes of the law. Link to comment
whyisthatlegal
He's, uh...turning twenty this or next month I think. And I know it's statitory rape at least. Link to comment
southerngirl
What he did to you isnt right. Do your parents know about this? If you dont want to talk to them what about a teacher or a friends parents? Seriously he raped you. You were intoxicated and had previously told him no. On top of that is the age factor... Its just not right and you need to make it known what he did so that he is less likely to do this to another girl down the line, plus it will be great for your own self confidance. Link to comment
Hope75
Yes, it's definitely statuatory rape, if not just plain rape. It's up to you, though, if you want to press charges. What he did was absolutely illegal. How do you feel about it? Link to comment
Dilly
Do you have an ongoing relationship with this guy? Is he your boyfriend? Only you can make the assessment as to whether or not you were "raped", but I think you need to stop feeling "dumb" and recognize that this guy act in a predatory way with you. He took your virginity on top of that? Did you experience any delayed pain? regarding the risk with STI's, when you have forceful sex, which is usually the case with a first entry since the male is pushing past the hymen and that must tear, the risk of STI's is highest because exchange of body fluids is inevitable. Having said that, you don't sound too comfortable with assuming the role of a "rape victim". I can't tell you what to do, but know that the others are right, it's rape if things transpired as you reluctantly stated they did. Link to comment
