Blinking101
My girlfriend says I am not affectionate enought what does that mean? And how do you become affectionate? I am really unsure because I kiss her alot, pay attention to her, do things for her, etc... etc.. But what does affectionate mean and how important is it in a relationship? tylercdurden2004
Affection means different things for men and women usually. Maybe she misses the spontenaity of it? Does it always lead to sex? COuld it be an excuse for something else that is bothering her? Could it be a test to see if you will give in to her every whim? Aurian
Sounds like you are being affectionate. Have you tried asking her for clarification? Ask her how she would like you to be affectionate, because you feel like you are giving her a lot of positive attention. Maybe she wants romantic gestures or something....? iamteddybearfeelmecuddle
This is my take on what that means. If a bf caresses me a lot and plays with my hair and holds my hand and puts his arm around me, stuff like that is affectionate. If he grabs my butt and boobs and kisses me a lot, then I don't consider that affectionate, I consider that more along the lines of frisky. Then I think of romantic gestures in their own category. I wouldn't necessarily consider making me a candlelight dinner affectionate, though it would be romantic, I guess, personally I prefer going out though. Momene
... but he's affectionate already, so it seems.
iamteddybearfeelmecuddle
Might not be her definition of affection. I've given one woman's definition already, I haven't heard verification that he is. Perhaps they should communicate more....she, telling; him, listening. tylercdurden2004
Perhaps they should communicate more....she, telling; him, listening. Excellent communication strategy! Communicating may work here but if they are not able to see how each person feels and where they may be coming from in terms of communcation styles they might as well be speaking two different languages to each other. Sure, but, might there be a point Mr. Insightful? I hear you, and yet...it's like you're speaking in tongues or something....
