adevelopingworld
Hi, I have had a self esteem problem for many years now. I have a large nose and I always find myself looking in the mirror at it or feeling down or unattractive. Has anyone successfully overcome a self esteem problem? How did you do it? Also I am considering a nose job. Has anyone had this done? Or any other type of surgery, and how do you feel about it?
rose2summer
Well, being that with plastic surgery on your nose, They will most likely snap the bone, Are you comfortable with that?, As INFJ beautifully said, How about working on loving your body, Your nose, every part of your body, That's where true beauty comes is from within. Lady Bugg
Hmmmmmm............ I am not opposed to having certain things done....within reason. I personally see nothing wrong with having certain things done to make you feel better and more attractive about yourself..as long as you don't become obsessive with it. Like the OP said....self estem comes from within..so make sure that is intact when making these decisions. Now...I would never have anything major done myself..but I admit I AM vain enough to dabble in things like Botox, or collagen. I am scared of all the other stuff. n83
Rhinoplasty is actually a difficult surgery, despite what you may see on TV.. if you ARE going to have it done, you need to find a plastic surgeon with tons of experience in this particular type of surgery. That being said, most people who want plastic surgery feel that their self esteem is affected by a physical feature they don't like. You need to decide for yourself if your nose is your biggest obstacle to good self esteem, or if something else is.

Cons
Some people like a loaf of bread but rarely eat the crust, some people dislike the crumbs in the tray after toasting, find someone who loves ALL of you
