Standtall13
Well, I'm at a place this morning that is all too familiar with me. I have a pattern of dating women much older than myself. My current GF is 47, and I am 34. She is beautiful, and does not look her age. I am fairly sure that I don't want kids, but cannot say 100%. We have had great times in the past, but it seems like reality is setting in. I really do love her, and I know she loves me. We are really hurting from our daily "Should we break up" discussions. Can anyone offer some helpful advice? Thank you.
LostInMyThoughts
Do you think "reality" is because of the age difference, or because the two of you aren't as compatible as initial puppy love would suggest? As far as my thoughts on age-gaps go, I think maturity, and stage in life are more important than raw numbers. A 21 year old who is mature and ready to start a family, is probably more compatible with a 34 year old of like mind and maturity, than say a 23 year old who isn't ready to settle down. Do you know where the dischord in your relationship is coming from?

I agree with LostInMyThoughts. Are you worried that you might a family at some point down the line and that she won't be able to give that to you? She have grown kids and is over that stage in her life? Why do you keep talking about breaking up? What's the issues that arise?
