nottoogreen
Herpes is so prevalent in the west, 20-40% genital herpes and up to 80% oral herpes. Had a gf whom I sent to study in Switzerland. She phoned me up one day, her mouth burns, I asked does is burn down front and/or down rear, she: yes. Me: HSV, see doctor. No more physical contact with her. Such is life. So far, I got away clean. n83
Did she actually have herpes, or you just suspected it??
nottoogreen
Yes, she was diagnosed and admitted to kissing a boy in college. I never blamed her, I had other women she knew of and would not let them go.

nottoogreen
Kissing?? She got it from kissing?!? Damnit, I'm never touching anyone ever again!!!! Oh well, please do not worry too much! Develop your relationship and ask the right questions. I was not there. IMHO, she had sex, I had taught her well, she was experienced and by being by herself for a few months, she was pretty horny for sure. Seriously, once someone experienced and horny and lonely likes someone and starts kissing, there may be no stopping! Why should they?
n83
True there's no reason to stop ... I just get concerned b/c it seems like STD's are all over the place now. I don't think I know a single person that uses protection for oral..
nottoogreen
This may sound cruel, Yes, HSV is so prevalent now. It will get almost everone, eventually. One of my sisters has it. HSV is a nuisance, do your best to avoid it, but if it get's you, that's life. Not meaning to be cynical and having got away without catching anything, I am happily out of date(ing), and hope that my current relationship will last til the end of my time and that I will remain faithful and not screw up again.
