Why do men lie about their age?

Many years AFTER the fact, I just found out that one of my love interests was four years older than he claimed!!! Neither of us was old! Any ideas???

I know i'm not any help.. but everyone has lied about their age at some point in their life whether its too make us seem older or younger.

Because they thought you would not want them if they knew the truth. So, they took and easy way out, which would have blown up on them at some time for sure.

I know a guy who lied for years about his age to his older (by 7 or 8 years) girlfriend, I don't know how he got away with it!
