sending first mesage online persoinals

Now that I have a good profile up Im wondering how to send out the first mail like what to say and stuff. DOnt want to be too chatty to save some for when we meet.

1) Don't write a generic e-mail to all the girls. It's annoying and very easy to see.

 

2) I like it when a guy shows he read my profile by actually saying something specific to it.

 

3) keep it simple and short.

 

ie, "Hi - my name is Josh, I just graduated from XYZ university. Your profile really caught my eye. I see from your photos that you like to ski. So do I, my brother and I go on a ski trip every year together. Have you ever been to Vail? I look forward to hearing from you."

 

or, I don't know, something simple like that.
