Naomi
I saw a thread here that got me to thinking...body mirroring is a sign of interest like if you lean forward and so does he you are in sinc..but what about speech mirroring? Lets say you approach a guy with a certain opening and being sure to say his name as well(I read that also shows interest) and than next time you see him before you can say anything he says the exact same thing you had said last time WORD FOR WORD, including saying my name. I know this sounds weird but I want to know if he is interested maybe? Also I think he is shy.
tmp0620
Hmmmmm.... What is it that you said to him that he mirrored? If it was something like "how are you today Naomi", than it doesn't necessarilly mean anything... Depends what it is he said.
Naomi
We generally only saw hi when we see each other but I said something along the line of "Hey, Tom, whats up, how are you doing? " and he just answered fine but he looked at me like he was surprised I upped the ante up from just hi and when I saw him again before i opened my mouth he said "Hey Naomi, whats up, how you doing?" In the exact same way I had. Almost seemed like he had practiced and psyched himself up to say it ...but maybe i'm reading into thingd? BTW, he was making eye contact too. tmp0620
Yeah, that sounds like a good sign to me. Like you said you "upped the ante" and he liked it and wanted to follow up. Up the ante some more next time you see him.
Naomi
I will, any ideas? Thanks so much. I need something subtle without starting a whole conversation with him.
