mudpie
Hello, I have just signed up for goodlife fitness. I was wondering if anyone knows if their circuit training really works? They say to do 12 reps of each machine. I thought u have to do 3 sets of 12 to see results???? Also , if I just do the classes will I lose weight? Thanks Link to comment
truckerbabe
That sounds like a beginner program... you dont want to destroy your muscles if you're not used to working out yet so it's good to ease into things for the first couple of weeks. The best way to lose weight is to look at your diet. I can help you if you want... I compete in fitness so I know a thing or two about training & nutrition. Let me know if you want any help. Good luck with everything and congrats on starting up!! Link to comment
mudpie
Hey trucker, Thanks for the input. Yes any help would be greatly appreciated. I have been signed up at the YMCA before and went for 3 months, lost interest and let my year membership run out. I want to stay motivated this time , and actually see results. Nutrition is a problem for me, since I LOVE FOOD! I am not overweight... just have to tighten and tone and lose about 10-15 lbs......... I am 135lbs and 5'4. I would love if you could help me develop a meal plan or something. Thanks so much Mud Link to comment
tyciol
Exercise doesn't have to be 3 sets of 12 to work... It just has to be progressive. Anyway, the main thing about circuit training is that it's more an all-around cardiovascular workout, but it's more strength-intensive and varied than most cardio. Link to comment
