becallamjr
I strongly believe suicide is a waste of life, even though I tried to take my own life at one point. But, when it comes down to it, I'm pro-choice. Suicide sometimes is the only way out. Anyone else agree?
romantic sweetheart
Suicide is when the pain one is feeling outweighs the resources one has for coping with the pain.... Life is so complex, pain is so complex....These two complex things must afford us more than one way out..More than one way to heal...More than one way to be rescued...More than one way to find peace....... I, too, have longed for an out...Longed to feel peace, longed for the cessation of the grief....... Yet, like a pearl, we can wrap ourseves around the pain, and emerge more beautiful, a precious gem..... "When we no longer know what to do we have come to our real work and when we no longer know which way to go we have begun our real journey. The mind that is not baffled is not employed. The impeded stream is the one that sings." Wendell Berry
rosstheboss
"Suicide is a permanent sollution to a temporary problem" - someone said! I see it as 'the easy way out' even though I have thought about it myself. I think people should have the choice to do it if they want but I honestly can't think of a GOOD reason for it. If someone is having problems in life be it emotional or anything else, they can get help and get over it.
ShySoul
I can think of lots of reasons not to commit suicide, but not a reason to commit it. It is permanent, and only causes more people pain in the process. It does nothing to change the situations, just removes you from the equation. Yes, you no longer hurt. But you also can no longer feel joy. The future is never written in stone. As miserable as things are now, for all we know something great could happen tomorrow that turns everything around. For all we know our holding onto hope could inspire someone else to hold onto hope and not kill themselves. There is always the possibility of good things if we hold onto life. But if we go for death, what good can come of it?
darkblue
I don't believe suicide is a sensible option. Yes, sometimes it looks as if it is easier to run away, than face your fears and overcome your obstacles. But it can be done. Anything is possible. Suicide is just a wasted potential.
