Obsessing for the 1st time in a long time!!

Hello!!!

 

I got out of a serious 6 year relationship about two years ago and now I feel like it is time for another serious relationship.. In October I was at a party with a bunch of friends and there was a girl there that I thought was very cute. I heard her asking one of my frends who I was, I wanted go up to her and hit on her but I was with my new boss and his fiance, i had invited them to the party so I was making sure they were having a good time. I thought about this girl for about a week, I was wondering if she was asking who I was because she was interested.....

 

On Saturday I saw her again @ a club and we were formally introduced. We talked for a little while... We had some things in common...shes from venezuela, and I have been there so I told her how beautiful her country was, I asked her what she did for a living and she told me she worked in a modern art gallery. I told her I really liked modern art (which I do) and that I was interested in learning more about it... I was @ the club until it closed with her and her friends, who are friends in common.

 

When we were leaving the club she was saying that she would like to have one more drink... I asked her if she wanted to go back to my place for a nightcap.... She said no.... but it wasnt harsh or anythign....

 

I cant stop thinking about her

 

...... any suggestions?? did I blow my chances wiht this girl???

I wouldn't say you "blew your chances". Is there a chance you could visit her art gallery? Maybe surprise her in a couple weeks or so....

 

She sounded interested from what you said. I don't think you asking her to come home with you should have put her off....if she is really traditional and hoping to marry you right away..MAYBE.....but hard to say.

You were in a club right? You could always say you were "tipsy" and a little forward..because she was so "enticing" (yeah you gotta charm her)...but unless you were a complete jerk I think thats a forgivable excuse.

 

What could it hurt? She might even be impressed you made the extra effort....

 

Or.....you could always send her flowers...to her work place with a card, with your number. Just a suggestion...

I would totally send her flowers... and I am the type to do that kind of stuff, but do you think that would be too intense?

 

My birthday is coming up soon, in about two weeks.... Do you think I should ask her friends for her number and call her to invite her?

 

If I go to the gallery what do you think I should say?

I vote for option #2 - getting her digits from her friends. Flowers are a good idea for a second or third date.

I wouldn't leave it for two weeks, no matter how much you like her. Find her sooner than later, I'd take it as a sign that you weren't interested if you waited two weeks.
