is it a red flag of any sort if a guy tells you a specific day he will call you? i told my mom this and she for some reason thought it was a red flag...maybe a sign hes seeing someone else. but i know his friends and they all say that he is single and not dating anyone. but i am aware that his friends could be covering for him. but he always calls when he says he will.

Oh I wouldn't read so much into that. Maybe he's just being considerate so that you'll know to expect his call. Unless there are other things that lead you to believe he's not being honest I don't think scheduling phone calls is anything to worry about.

I think it's a good thing, means he means he really is going to call you (well, as long as he does follow through at least!).

 

I really think it should not be read into! It means he wants to let you know he will call, and so you know when to expect it.

 

As for the rest, well, he could date others right now, as could you.....unless you have agreed to be exclusive?

It could also mean that he is busy on those other days with other things than another girl or that he wants to make sure you will be there when he calls.

if you settle up the time when you'll call, chances are that if both are interest, the call will actually happen because both are looking forward to it. If you don't tell the time of your call, it might be that either one is doing something else and you can't have your call. But it's probably some "The Rules" stuff your mum is telling you... don't trust that.
