why to guys say bad things about girls?

If a guy talks bad about a girl, does it sometimes mean he likes her or is jealous of her? my ex use to say bad things about his ex-wife almost everday. I thought he might be infactuated with her because it seemed like he could'nt let her go even though he was saying bad things about her.

People do that for many reasons. Sometimes because they are really hurt and angry, sometimes to reinforce a decision to leave a relationship, sometimes to convince the new person in their lives that they are done with the previous relationship.

 

But it is almost always better to not do it because it can make you look as bad as the ex.

i just remember in my past relationship that my ex and i hardly had any conversation at all. and when we did it was usually about his ex wife. i remember always feeling hurt by that.
