InsertNameHere
Me and my gf have been going out for about 6 months, but I have a huge jealousy problem. She has more guy friends than girl friends, and she is in a band with all guys, so it kind of bothers me when she goes out with them. I want to be able to just not care, because she is not very jealous at all. But when she is out with them I get soo jealous, and I feel like its killing the relationship... What can I do? LostInMyThoughts
First thing is to talk to her about it. Ask her what YOU can do to help alleviate your jealousy. If she is aware of the problem, she might be more inclined to change her behavior to make things easier on the relationship. But you have to be willing to allow her to live her life the way she wants. It's okay to be jealous; but I think there might be deeper issues at work here. How does her going out with other guys make you feel? Specifically what is it that bothers you and makes you jealous? Link to comment
InsertNameHere
Ya, she assures me that they are all just friends and there is nothing there, but knowing what I know about guys, I don't think guys can just go out as friends and somewhere deep down they might be trying to get with her... Mrocza
Even if you have some lingering suspicious about the intentions of her guy-friends you have to give her the benefit of the doubt. You don;t know them and you don't know for sure- haven't you ever been in a non-romantic friendship with the opposite sex? You can tell her it bothers you but in the end you can't force her to give up her friends because of your insecurity. If you trust her, then get past it, if you don't- why are you with her?
