i dont get boys

so this guy came into my work (i work at the mall) he talked to me through the window and asked if he could come in and talk to me. i said yes and he came in and we started talking a bit. he asked for my number and asked when was best to call i gave it to him and told him after 10 30 when i got off. later he walked by again and said he would call later. but he never did. this was on sat. why would a guy do this? if he wasnt intrested why would he ask for my number?

The bottom line is: Who cares? If he says he will call later...it might mean tomorrow, it might mean 2 days from now, 5 days from now. He probably will call. And if he doesn't, then that means he changed his mind. Some people are just tricky or maybe he doesn't like talking on the phone.

It took a lot of courage for him to go up to you, make chit chat, and get your number. It shouldn't be long before he follows through.

it's simple, like everybody said. if he calls you sooner, then you won't want it as much. by making you wait, there's anticipation, and you'll want him to call. what's he supposed to do, call you right away?

Rules like that, about when to call or the like, are silly. So what if it gets the girl wondering if your going to call? That's not necessarily a good thing. She's just as likely to assume that since you took so long to call that you can't be that interested in her or she would have been higher on your list of priorites. So while your sitting around playing head games, shes saying "forget him" and may have met someone else who does put in the effort to give her a call the next day.

Shy, guys wouldn't have to do this kind of thing if it wasn't beneficial or nessesary. the 2 or 3 days rule is generally the balance so a guy doesn't seem desperate, but still seems interested. If you call a woman asap as soon as you get time, she will not appreciate you as much (simple supply/demand rules). If you take too long, she'll think you're just a tease. If you address this as something wrong, then you need to realise it's the symptom of something bigger, and in this particular case, the real "problem" is that the majority of females judge like this.

See, thats where most guys go wrong. They assume they know what works and what women want better then the women. Yet in my experience what a person wants, what they say they want, and what attracts them is the same thing. Unless I just happen to find the rare honest girls.
