nothingontheinside
So I "used to" cut. and i promised the girl i'm dating right now i wouldnt do it again. She used to cut, is 3 years my senior, and says that the urge will go away if I tell myself I don't need it anymore. I really wanna stop (finally something i'm thinking) but when i screw up i can still imagine a blade going accross my wrist, and i think things liike "she'll never know" and stuff. but its hard. i cant find any alternatives that work. I'll just sit there and think about it, and i'll try to read, talk, play games with my little brothers, and nothing works. i still think about it. it's driving me mad. Link to comment
Meow18
Cutting is a bad habit you get addicted to. Of course you will get urges to do it again, especially if you just recently are trying to stop. It's hard to get over any habit. Just try your hardest to not give in to the temptation. It seems like so far your main problem is that you can't get it out of your mind. Maybe you should talk more about it with your girlfriend. Did she stop on her own? What did she do to get it off of her mind? I think she will be able to help you a lot. Link to comment
