I believe in god and always believed that my responsibility as a human was to live a life that was consistent with my religious values and that god helps those who help themselves - which is why I studied and worked so hard -I didn't expect god to get me good grades and great jobs and promotions -or to bring someoone to my doorstep.

And if I didn't meet someone -no guarantees -it wouldn't be god's fault -might be partly me, partly luck/timing whatever-who knows. You're entitled to your religious beliefs of course and your beliefs allow you to sit back and take it easy.

To me loving is far more about giving to others -than just a feeling and the giving part is what often determines the success or failure of a mutually loving and respectful relationship.
