Oh I see and also you would have been "uncomfortable" to ask more because obviously if he's not telling you -you already know the answer so just put blinders on and proceed. Or- when it's obvious someone is being shady your other choice is -walk away - but you chose to ignore and do what you felt like doing, no matter whether he was available, single, or otherwise.    Be careful out there -JMHO.

You asked whether he ghosted you. I think you are ghosting yourself -you're rationalizing and justifying to the hilt and ignoring options that do not involve this sort of unhealthy and potentially harmful behavior.
