Seraphim Posted June 6 Share Posted June 6 There are many many uncontrolled fires burning country wide right now . People have been evacuated and or lost their homes and businesses. It is smokey where I am though not as bad as some. Where we were posted before has extreme levels of smoke and friends are getting sick . 1 Link to comment

I'm just a bit West of New York city, and we are dark with smoke and on alert to mask up. That speaks of the magnitude, and it's heartbreaking for all of you more closely impacted. SooSad33 Posted June 7 Share Posted June 7 Yeah, the last couple of days have been rough and expecting it until at least tomorrow. Half of the day yesterday was awful :/ . Was quite unexpected - and so alarming! I was first aware of the going's on out west ( Alberta), next thing I knew, I was hearing about it around here. Wow. A friend shared a link called Firesmoke.ca. I'm following that now. I do hope most of this is able to get under control soon. 1 Link to comment

I remember, about 3 nights ago, I was walkin my lil doggo and saw the haze in the sky and the moon looked so weird! So, I was aware then of smoke in the airs around here. But, I didn't really feel it until yesterday. Hopefully, all is better after tomorrow. And hoping most of these fires get under control. 1 Link to comment

Batya33 Posted June 7 Share Posted June 7 My mom in the northeast -is 88-she crossed her street to attend her Wednesday exercise class for seniors (indoors!) and it was almost too much for her. She even skipped her 5 blocks walk to the supermarket for senior discount today. She said it's surreal/weird. Wishing you all the best. Link to comment
