freedom
ok i need a translation, when someone says you are intense, what the hell does that mean? is it a compliment or a criticism? Link to comment
GettingOverIt
I think it depends on the context in which the statement was made, and how the comment was made... Was this a cheerful revelation? Link to comment
freedom
hhmm.. got no idea whethe it was cheerful, text msg you see. Link to comment
kskm
What was the sentence that surrounded the statement? Link to comment
Emotional
You have an feature thats distinctive and sticks out to this person. I wouldn't take it as a bad thing...How did this person say it, What was the tone of voice? Link to comment
GettingOverIt
LOL, okay, well then let's look at it from different angles... You are intense - You are a very deep thinker with very complex ideas and ideals... You are intense - You are overbearing, possessive, obsessive You are intense - You connect with this other perosn in so many ways, it makes their head spin That's a couple anyway.... Link to comment
Drizown
Well it depends on the context that it was used, but generally I'd take it as a compliment, because it means you are determined and focused, and you have lots of energy, and you live life to the fullest. The only bad way I could think of is if it was meant to say you need to lighten up and stop taking things so seriously, and not be so extreme. Link to comment
freedom
probably one of those sentences that a person doesnt want to hear, it is so open ended that it can be misconstruded..... dangerous sentence! Link to comment
GettingOverIt
Well, not necessarily, but what had you said just before that was said to you?? We need the CONTEXT here... Link to comment
freedom
ok, ok, just to satisfy you, You and i are so alike, our intencity will not leave any prisoners. Link to comment
Mr Meh
I had an intense headache followed by an intense orgasm. Context definitely necessary, although anytime anyone's ever said that to me it was a compliment. Link to comment
GettingOverIt
There ya go... Okay, so you two are so intense... That is definitely a compliment! Link to comment
Mr Meh
Charles Ng and Leonard Lake probably had the same conversation once. If this is a member of the opposite sex you are trying to get with, yeah definitely a compliment. Link to comment
freedom
except the "partner" doesnt want to. Partner fears that the intencity will tear them apart. Why make a statement like that when you dont want to be together. Link to comment
kskm
Seems like you are getting mixed signals. What is sounds like is that she wants to be with you because you two are very close, but there is something holding her back. Link to comment
freedom
yeah......fear...and this is torture... something like been there done that... Link to comment
Mr Meh
fear of feeling that strongly for someone might end in pain? Link to comment
