Who was acting out of line

My supervisor asked me a question and i answered in a way that could be interpreted in a sexually suggestive way - so  I stopped mid way and laughed. I totally did not mean doing so- and I only realized that it could be interpreted in a sexually suggestive way when a colleague during the conversation said that " you have a dirty mind - huh' .. then I realized what I was trying saying could be interpreted differently and I laughed out of embarrassment. Then my boss winked at me and asked me the question again when he totally understood my answer first time around. Who was out of line

You asked this same question in the Career and Relationship forums and now in the Dating Advice forum.

Are you romantically interested in this man? Are you hoping he wants to date you?

I agree. If you'll connect what any of this has to do with dating, maybe we can better help you.

It doesn't sound like anyone was out of line. You inadvertently said something that could be interpreted sexually, you stopped yourself, those involved took it with good humour and your supervisor started over in order to return the situation to a professional footing.

Either you are reading too much into this or what you said wasn't as accidental as you claim.

How many times are you going to start the same thread?
