How inappropriate is it to get an erection during a massage?

I'm not sure if I should have posted in this section. For context I frequent a few massage parlors and this has only ever happened to me once and it was today.

There are only a few places that I go to, could be like twice a month at most sometimes three times depending on trap pain from sports and programming. On this particular occasion I really like going to this one place since the staff is very experience and they allow for longer sessions more then an hour. This one masseuse while not as skilled as the owner was well trained and let's just say that after 40 minutes I asked her to extend for another half an hour totally to 90 minutes.

Towards the very end she asked me to turn over and after 15 minutes she started to massage my quadriceps muscles. Now, I'm not sure if she realized it or not but that particular area its very difficult for men not to get aroused and it wasn't like she was staying on the lower part of my quads either. Another thing that mad it awkward is that I am not like a small guy, I'm about 6'0 and close to 200 pounds, while the masseuse was about 5'1 and close to what seemed like 130 pounds.

I don't want to go into too much detail but let's also just say that I'm not really a small guy and even with a towel covering me it was very obvious. Also, this was towards the end of the session but I think she kind of like smashed my feet a little, not sure if it was out of anger or to get me to calm down and then just ended the massage right after that like maybe 3 after the foot smashing incident.

I can only imagine that she probably told her manager about the incident and I was glad that she did end the massage because I was very embarrassed myself. She seemed to be around my age both mid 30's although she could have been older, hard to tell with mask on. Is this common, should I not go back there, also I had tight boxers so it wasn't like I was at full attention more like just engorged.

I don't think it's nearly as big of a deal as you have in your head.  The truth is that that thing between your legs has a mind of its own.  I can't tell you how manny times I've got erect for 0 reason at all, at the most random times.  I'm sure you too have experienced that plenty of times.

It's probably something that happens more than you'd think at a massage parlor as well.  As long as you're not whipping it out and being gross and pervy, you're fine.  Sometimes it just happens and I think a masseuse probably understands that.  I think most people do in general.

This isn't a porn screen play is it?

Seriously when you learn how to control that thing you will make a bunch of money.  Do you really think this is the first time some guy got a boner when she was working on them?

Remember the Seinfeld episode when George got a message from a guy and he thought "It moved"

When us guys are young we are literally walking boners so if it has a mind of its own once in a while when someone is rubbing on you I don't think miss manners is going to ding you on it.

Now if you were were touching yourself or saying something inappropriate then that would be totally different.

Best way to handle this is to get right back in there and act like it was no big deal.

True. If they are a licensed facility, they'll need to terminate the treatment session under those circumstances. Unfortunately massage places have been covers for prostitution, so legitimate places have to use caution.

I don't know if it's common, but I can see how it could easily happen. Keeping your boxers on was a good move. It sends a message that you are there for massage only. And you also didn't try to get her to massage your penis, so you don't look like a perv.

These things happen. I once saw a guy leading an ROTC workout get an erection in front of his whole squadron and the gym at large (no pun intended lol)! Life goes on.

Also, the feet smashing thing is pretty common in massages, especially Chinese massage. So, don't read too much into it.

Well I'm female so never had this issue lol But my suggestion would be not to worry about it that much because you couldn't control it. I'm sure the masseuses have seen it before and will see it again lol She probably didn't even tell her boss because why try to embarrass you? I think you acted fine because you didn't make any inappropriate comments or movements or anything. You just acted like nothing happened and so did she so it seems you both dealt with the situation well. It's not like you said: "Well now I'm hard do you want to help me with that?" Lol

The best way to handle it is ask for a male massage therapist.😂

You refer to them as "massage parlors", so it sounds like a place that is not legit.

Its quite common actually. Even during non- erotic massage

Reflexive erections, a normal physiological response to touch, relaxation, etc., can go away within minutes. Massage therapist know this and will often simply ignore an erection during a session, as long as the client is behaving appropriately.

So, dont worry that much.
