Fwb

Recommended Posts

My problem is for over a year I’ve been seeing a guy, who I seem to have falling in love with, he’s a fwb guy so we meet up when possible, I sit with him in he’s work van while he’s working and driving around, but a lot of the time when we are together we row, but lately the rows have gotten worse over silly things and he’s ended it yesterday and I can’t stop thinking about him and crying I don’t know what to do 😟

Sorry this is happening. You dodged a bullet. He is not committed to you and all you do is argue.

You can date and find much better men now that you are free of this go-nowhere nebulous situationship.

He ended it so leave him alone.

What were the fights about? Do you work? I’m asking where you have the time to spend in his van or with him if it was daily occurrence.

For a moment there I thought you were rowing together in a rowing team.

It sounds as if the FWBs situation has run its course.  It's not a relationship, and usually has an expiration date.

Maybe it's time to set the bar higher, respect yourself and find someone who respects you, as well.  You deserve much better.

Friends With Benefits is really just a more polite way of saying F*** Buddy. In reality FWB is little more than a phrase meant to convince you you're more than just a piece of @$$, because face it, you're not really Friends.  These "relationships" are simply hookups and misunderstandings and unrealistic expectations, leading to the rows you mentioned.

Remember what you're feeling now the next time you're tempted to get into another situation like this, so you can save yourself the heartache.  Sorry.  I'm sure it can't be fun. 😞

If you've been FWB for a year, it's time to concede that this will never become a relationship. There is no way an interested man would let an entire year go by without making a move for more - if he wanted it.

It's best that this is over. It sounds toxic now and you are hurting too much.
