What are your crafts ?

Photography is a biggy for me , bit sure that that passes as a craft though .

I recently bought on Ebay some lenses for my old film camera and have been dabbling in film photography. So far, the macro lens is my favorite, but my insect subjects have been less than cooperative, to say the least. May have to switch to inanimate objects! lol

Just found this thread. It might motivate me to do something, anything!

Working from home gives me alot of free time. I was pretty artistic in another life. I discovered that if you don't use it, you lose it.

I have some paintings, sketching and photography from when I was younger. I admit I only took a stab at a couple things recently and it's clear to me now I'll need to work up to it. Kinda afraid to try because it might not come back? But I won't know unless I start somewhere. Just not sure where to start.

This is an old photo. Not the best lighting. There are newer ones that I have to locate.

It's a bead weaving hobby that I picked up a few years ago. Jeez, I guess it's been about 8 years now... I took the class on a whim and got hooked. It's all done with needle and thread. You can make these intricate designs just by following a pattern. I never sewed a thing in my life, but it wasn't necessary. I think part of my brain was preprogrammed for weaving and untangling knots 😂

The teachers of the class were really good. I ended up moving almost an hour away, but occasionally made the long drive there and back after work, just to spend three hours in a room with a bunch of chatty old ladies. I've been to probably six classes now. The last class was on zoom.

I often don't finish the projects, but I did finish these. Most are from the class, but two of them (the horizontal ones (bracelets)) I did by myself, from kits that I bought. I actually stopped making the bottom horizontal one because the beads were so cheaply made. So that one is sitting in one of my bead containers, unfinished.

I've completed some other solo projects since.... I have photos somewhere...

Is this an architectural drawing beneath?

That's actually an old civil schematic. Not my drawing. I needed a light backdrop for my picture and it was sitting right there. Ended up looking nice together. But I can't take credit for it!
