I don't think it's accepted for females to slap males. It's just so much more prevalent for men to be the ones saying and doing things to women. Thus, that naturally gets the attention and criticism. To be clear, any physical contact should not be happening and the person should firmly say they don't like the behavior and walk away. But, at least in my experience, it's the men who are more likely to ignore that while the women try to avoid conflicts.
