ButterflyWrists
So I had some sleep, but woken up at 4am and have a migraine, ears kill and teething to feed a screaming baby. Very thankful I was able to get a good chunk of kip though. Sad fiance is doing overtime this afternoon and evening. Link to comment

(I had a post-birth stroke when he was 12 days old, husband started traveling the week after - so I get it and I'm sorry!) Link to comment
ButterflyWrists
One month old today! Where does the time go?? Shreds grown out of newborn and up to one month clothing now 😭 Also 1 month off my meds, I think the nerve pain is kicking my butt today. I want to breast feed as long as possible, but finding medication I can take while feeding isn't easy, and my gp isn't the most supportive for meds and feeding anyway. I've at least gotta keep going into the pandemic it's under control cause she'll get my immunity for adsl other illnesses and my anti bodies. Link to comment

ButterflyWrists
Might have to, although this one I'd asked him to go put in fridge and get me some juice as I was feeding, he got my drink but forgot to put milk away 😔 Link to comment

ButterflyWrists
Depression is hitting hard. No point in blaming myself when it wasn't my sole responsibility, she's a grown adult and she'd satu these risks were worth it so grandma's could be comfortable and die away home. Refighting these stupid thoughts with better logic. I feel terrible though, awful nightmares and I desperately want to drive down to the reservoir where I used to life.. but nooo I live 4 hours away from there now. Plus baby. But I need to escape. I can't be a good mum feeling this way. Link to comment

ButterflyWrists
Had a walk with daughter along local canal, was nice, but I need the sound if running water. Fiance is extremely busy and us having to work late tonight he's got 3 big projects to finish this week, two by tomorrow which he didn't find out about until today. So I'm having to kind of hide how bad I'm feeling. I know if things get TOO much i can talk to him and he'll help me out. But he's the only person who can complete these projects. Link to comment
ButterflyWrists
I'm struggling so much today. Baby is very unhappy today, dark green poops, but I can't find anything saying why a breastfed baby would have dark green poop, I'm not taking iron, and all I can see for dark green is formula containing too much iron. She screamed non stop for an hot, furtive ended up giving her 2oz girls, and she calmed down. She's had a little boob after and having cuddles now. My mental health is suffering hugely. ButterflyWrists
A tiny amount of blood in latest poop, but back to normal colour. I'm guessing something I ate must have upset her. Not sure what but I'll keep check. Link to comment
Batya33
I'm so sorry you're struggling. I'd call the doctor or the nurse line for peace of mind. Link to comment
sophie274
I’ve read green poop can be a sign of a foremilk/hindmilk imbalance. I love the Kelly Mom website for info about breastfeeding - and of course, your pediatrician for any health concerns. The newborn period is so hard. Hang in there and accept all the help you can get. On the colour chart I've seen, it's bright green/frothy for foremilk/hindmilk but my daughters was dark green. She feeds for a good hour at a time so should get the right balance of milk. I'll call gp later and see what they say. There's a little blood in her back to normal coloured poop so need to find our what's going on. Link to comment

ButterflyWrists
Gp isn't concerned, said poop changes colour constantly, there's a6 week growth spurt. Said if anything's upsetting her tiny formula will make it worse. In regards to the blood, as it isn't much she isn't concerned, but keep an eye on it. Said it could be dairy allergy, but add theres no other symptoms currently, too just see how we go. I'm reassured things are relatively normal and I'll keep an eye on it all Little update from when I wrote this, latest nappy no blood! Such a relief Link to comment
Seraphim
I hope your sweet little lady feels better and you too! First year of parenthood is really difficult . Especially the early stages. It gets better! ❤️ Link to comment
ButterflyWrists
She seems better, she's sleepy a lot today, still eating, maybe not as much, but she's been more settled. I'm just battling on, gonna call gp Tuesday, same once I spoke to today, as she seemed to have a really good grasp of new parenthood etc. So I might get somewhere regarding depression etc. We had a walk along canal this evening, saw some mummy ducks and their ducklings, so cute ❤💜🥰 the walk really helped my mental health.
