firstluvstruck
quick background: I'm leaving town for a year of work then coming back (it's for sure, in my contract). went out with an amazing person a couple days ago - who is aware that i'm leaving but was also super keen on hanging out (we'd been talking for a couple weeks leading up to the 'date'). anyway, probably going to hang out again next week. I'm not viewing these hang outs as dates. I'm hanging more like it's a buddy, and am really enjoying her company. She's the no bs kinda gal - a go getter. Anyone have experience being upfront? As in bringing up the elephant in the room - what are your intentions? should we keep in touch? are we just being friendly? OR just keep in touch and see what happens when I come back? Hollyj
How would you handle any new friendship? As you're leaving, I would just see what happens. Link to comment

Billie28
When are you leaving? And no point in keeping in touch. A year is a long time and anything can happen. Link to comment
firstluvstruck
Three weeks. I think best to just see what happens and feel the vibe when we hang out again. Futile to hypothesize without more Link to comment
