Does my boyfriend still love his ex girlfriend?

My boyfriend has been searching for his ex’s family on Facebook. He found out his ex’s girlfriends Mum unblocked him, so he blocked her back.

He used to crop me out of photos, I think he started posting pictures of us together to make her jealous. He speaks about her to his family. He got his cousin to like her posts and comment.

His ex confronted his cousin, his sister got involved. So she blocked them both. His sister was clearly upset by this, because she unfriended his ex on a different account.

Do you think he still loves her?

No one can tell you if he still loves her, but I'd question the amount of energy he's spending blocking and unblocking her and everyone connected to her on social media.

How long have you been together? How long have they been broken up? How long were they together?

2 years. 2 years and few months. They were together for 3 years.

I don't understand why he was searching for her family in the first place. Why did he get his cousin involved?

This guy needs to spend all this energy on something more positive and important. This social media game his and his cousins are playing are a joke. Tell him to stop. Tell him it’s disrespectful to you.

Do you think he does it to get her attention?

Why do you say that?

No one who's over their ex spends this much time in contact with their family. If I were in your shoes, I would ask him point blank if he sees a serious future with me or if he's just biding his time with me. Sorry.

His ex rang and messaged him this:

"This just goes to show how immature and childish you still are. I wanted to be friends with you, but you clearly don’t want to so it’s fine. However, you blocked my Mum on Facebook for no reason. You’re continuing to try and hurt me through my Mum now. All I wanted you to do is to unblock my Mum on Facebook. You can’t speak to me directly like a mature person, instead you want to play games. I’m trying to be nice to you. Ah well, I tried x"

He hasn't spoken to her family, just searched on social media. His ex Mum blocked him then unblocked. He blocked her back!

I think she has changed her mind and wants to be friends.. Do you think he will go back to her?

It depends on how long they've been together. The longer they were, he will have a longer time getting over her. I was with my then-boyfriend for about 9 years, never married. He decided to end us, and during the next 3 days he started missing me but didn't want to tell me. We are still not together. He found a rebound 4 days later. If this guy of yours doesn't get it, find someone better. Because it sounds like this guy is very much involved in her family still, especially drama wise, and he cares for them by the way he is acting. And wanting a response from them, hence, attention.

How do you know he cares about them? Why would he care if he blocked?

He's definitely trying to get her attention and stay in contact with her. Sorry, it sounds like you are just a space filler for him while he tries to her back or breaks up completely. After just a short time, this much drama is crazy. Cut your losses and date guys who are ready to date.

How is he trying to get her attention?

We've been together 2 years, maybe I'm just a rebound.

Not to be rude, but why are you even asking this question?

OP, go back and re-read what you wrote about them. You've already answered your own question.
