My ex ended things with me in April 2017. It was unexpected and a shock. I was still floating around being in love so i had no idea.

He got into a relationship very quickly after and makes it super known on social media how happy, in love, incredible, beautiful, lucky he is and that life could not be better!

I have joined a dating site and have proved to be very popular with the guys on there. There is one problem though which i cant get my head around. When ive chatted to these guys and it gets to the point of meeting up i cant do it. I cant do it because i feel like im betraying my ex. This is totally weird in my eyes. I feel like im being unfaithful etc what is this weirdness all about?

Some people advise a period of mourning or grieving after a relationship ends. If you're just not ready to date, then you should take some time off. Or just use the site to chat and keep it light. It should at least help your self esteem to know that you can get dates through the site. When you are ready, then go for it.

I know how you feel actually, I've essentially not been together with my ex for over a month, and i'm tempted to ask a girl I know out, but I feel like i'm betraying my ex too. Like Danzee said, this just means you're not ready to get back in the game yet. That's perfectly fine, 5 months is still not that long after a breakup really, especially if you had a long relationship. Take your time and don't force yourself, do things you want to do, not things you think you should do.
