FirstDates
I've been messaging back and forth with a guy I met online in a dating app. I still look forward to his messages I check my phone a lot to see if he has replied. But feel less giddy as time goes on (it's been about 2 weeks and we have a meet up booked). Am I loosing interest or is it normal to get used to contact and as result have it seem less significant over time? I've never dated and have nothing to compare it to. 😃

I hope your meetup is soon because losing interest for me when communicating w/someone for some time before meeting, sometimes that doesn't happen. You don't know this guy enough to be excited when he texts you.
catfeeder
Messaging is boring. It's just fantasy building and a waste of time. I'd skip it and meet a number of people over a quick coffee to see if there's any attraction.
AlanaNoskcid
Could be a boring guy that seemed interesting at first, or just a guy who's bad at texting.. I've dated online and I would ghost them once they got boring. I would spend 1-3 months talking online first before meeting up just because of nerves but also I needed to know that they had some substance. After all, if it's going to go the distance they've gotta be able to keep you intrigued
