I am in a long term relationship of five years and my year long crush keeps trying to hook up

My five year relationship is struggling at best and we don't connect anymore. I've tried to work on it but I've basically given up. Breaking up is not easy because we have a child together. I've had an intense crush on someone for about a year and he keeps trying to convince me to hang out and hook up and it keeps getting harder to say no. I know he only wants sex where I want everything, I've never felt this way about someone. I also know it's wrong to cheat and the fact that I've even thought about makes me feel extremely guilty. Any advice at all would be greatly appreciated

Stay away from this guy and go to couple's counselling.

Breaking up won't be easy, no, but it's possible. Parents split up all the time and find ways to live apart but continue to co-parent. If you've already more or less given up, separating is probably the best option if you're not interested in trying counselling together, for example.

 

Keep in mind that this other guy will probably break your heart, though. If all he wants is sex, you can expect that's as far as it will go. And then he'll move on.

please stay away from crush - they just use u and move on ... thr is reason they are crush .. it never last long .. please if ur relationship is not working .. please try one last time .. and then move on but not to ur crush .. it will make u more worst ...
