jprobin72 Posted June 7, 2017 Share Posted June 7, 2017 My girlfriend broke up with me awhile back and it hit me really really hard. And things just kept getting worse after that and I did some stupid stuff. Then this one girl who was in my ex and I's friend group helped me through it and is stilling helping me. At first I didn't think anything of it but then not that long ago I got low and I went to her and but then changed my mind about it. But she told me that I could tell her anything and so I told her and she kept me from doing something really stupid that night. And since then I've been much better. Also that night she told me that I should talk to her more and she asked me to "try and stay positive" for her. And so I started talking to her more. Then a few nights later I found out my mom was making me go to my sister's dance competition and i remembered this girl telling me that she was going to be there competing too so texted her saying I might see her dance and she told me she was excited that I would. The next day I go to the competition and watch my sister dance and I don't see this girl because she's in a different age group than my sister and was dancing later in the day. So I'm about to leave with my family when her mom comes up to me and tells me how excited her daughter is that I was going to be there to see her. I told her mom that I was about to leave with my family so she went and got her daughter so I could atleast say hi and when I told her that I was leaving she seemed a little hurt by that. After she left to go back to warming up I told my parents as we were walking out that I needed to stay and they left without me. This girl then tells me to sit with her mom. Then she left to go get ready to compete and her mom looks at me and say that she was hoping that I would stay and that she thought her daughter would dance better because I was there. Then later after she's done dancing her mom insists that her father drives me home (as my own car is currently not working and my parents already left). I told them I couldn't impose and they insisted further so I let her father drive me home. I get a text later from the girl, which is alittle weird because she doesn't text much, thanking me for coming and apologizing for an "awkward car ride" with her dad. And since then we've started talking a lot more in school. Then today she called me a stupid but funny nickname and she out of the blue jokingly told her friends that I was her new best friend when we were walking back to class after lunch. When they looked confused she told them that I went to her competition. Then after school she was walking past me alone so I looked at her and said hi best friend. She looked confused for a sec then realized what I was referring to and laughed. She told me she lonely because all her friends left so I told her i was stuck there till my practice later. She then told me that she was going to library to work on something. I waited a minute and then followed her and we sat there talking, and she made some jokes that I laughed at. And then she laughed at every joke I made even though they were mostly stupid. We were there till she got a text from her mom telling her she was there. She got up and went out the door to the library and then waited there for me. Then we walked out of the school together and Said goodbye. I don't know if I'm just making this up in my head or if this real but I've started to think that she likes me. Truthfully I think I may be wishing that this is true but when it comes to this stuff I'm oblivious. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

You could either ask her through text or a message if she wants to go out on a date sometime. Or you could just ask her when you see her in person. If you're too shy to use the word 'date' you could ask her if she wants to hang out sometime together and see how she responds. But she likes you, definitely. She also got excited when you said that you would be at her recital and then disappointed when you said you were leaving. Even her Mom convinced you to stay. Her Dad drove you home!! That does not happen unless the parents know that she likes you. She obviously told them about you. She has flirted with you and called you her new best friend and lastly, she was trying to laugh at all your jokes. All good signs of her liking you.
