asking a mutual friend

Recommended Posts

It's trying to involve others in drama. Which isn't cool or nice.

Why are you trying to get intel on your ex and the "new fling"? Are you trying to see if you have a chance to get your ex back if your mutual friend thinks the "new fling" isn't serious?

whether or not it's serious I'm going to tell her how I feel when I return home since distance was what split us. so i guess I wanted to know if I had a chance/prepare myself for rejection.

so to answer your question, yes. i dunno, if it's really serious already after 6 weeks then maybe i wont. very confused.

I wouldn't ask anyone but her directly. If u can handle that....

Personally I would leave it alone.

There's no rule but it's like stabbing yourself in the eye as far as healing and moving forward goes. It also looks desperate if the friends goes back to tell him you are asking about him and his new relationship, etc.

What's the 'rule' on asking a mutual friend how your ex is doing? asking how serious their new fling is? the mutual friend wouldn't spill.
