Bringing up the past.. why?

Lately my ex has been texting me thanking me for this I did for her back in the Summer sending pics of stuff I bought. she thanked me for a journal I bought her back in October and told me she uses it everyday, she took a picture of the heating pad I bought her and said it was her life saver and today she texted me telling me stills uses the vitamins I told her about. I'm really confused on why she keeps bringing up old stuff. It's just random but maybe it only bothers me because I still have some feelings left and her bringing up stuff causes me to reminisce. Is this on purpose??

In that case, probably a little of what everyone above has said. She may miss the attention, she may miss your company, she may be feeling guilty, but in this case, it's just breadcrumbs unless she says she's ready for a relationship. Since it's confusing and hurting you, I would quit talking to her. If she wants a real relationship, she can let you know. You deserve better than anything halfway.

The reason(s) why she's texting you doesn't matter. What matters is the one reason you can rule out is that she wants you back. Do not hang on to false hope. If she wanted you back for real, the contacts would look and feel different. What she's doing isn't even close.
