confused1994
So I'm a girl, in my 20s, and I'm friends with this guy. We talk daily. He admitted a while back he had feelings for me, but due to the situation at the time, I wasn't able to be in a relationship. Now, I'm single, there's nothing holding me back. He also said he had never connected with anyone like he connected with me. He hasn't really shown any romantic interest in me though, but he calls me multiple times when drunk begging me to answer in texts, etc.. Like he even opens up about sad/serious stuff over text while trying to call me. I have a lot of feelings for him, I'm quite attached and I'm just a bit confused. I don't want to ruin our friendship by going there and asking him straight out. Thoughts?
Wiseman2
If he's not asking you out sober and just drunk dials you slobbering do you think that is dating material? Or are you lonely after your breakup and looking for any attention or quasi-bf/fwb you can get?He hasn't really shown any romantic interest in me though, but he calls me multiple times when drunk begging me to answer in texts, etc.. Like he even opens up about sad/serious stuff over text while trying to call me.
ShatteredMan
He's probably just drunk and horny. 1) Don't accept this behavior. 2) You need to make the choice on how to communicate that you're not willing to accept this behavior a) You can refuse to answer his texts/calls b) You can choose to let him know (or not) that you aren't going to answer his communication and why. 3) You can confront him as to what his feelings are toward you when he's sober. Honestly, I think that if you ignore him, he'll come around (as needy as he seems to be) to find out why you've removed your attention from him. At that point, you can tell him why you don't appreciate his immature behavior.
