Total opposites

Been dating girlfriend for 5 months and we don't really have a lot in common. We recently got over the honeymoon phase and that's when we realized it. We don't get a lot of time to spend with each other due to school and work. And when we do see each other we are all over each other or get distracted with something else. Any ideas?

Plan stuff to do. Try a new place to eat. Get out of the house. Attend an event or festival. Look up stuff happening in your town. Go to the latest movie. Go to the framers market, buy stuff to cook together. Go to the zoo.

Not sure what makes you opposites. If you are both really busy, then it's more about quality time rather than quantity time. So yeah, plan ahead for fun things to do and make those plans concrete. Outside of that, leave time for other things, "me" time, errand time, friends time. Keep your life well rounded and balanced.

What about cooking her a real romantic dinner, and sit there and talk? Talk about life, and get to know each other. Show her, that your interested in conversation as well as what she looks like naked.

That was the issue I didn't really have any since I got out the military.

She's really picky about food so that probably won't happen. And I guess I'm having a hard time getting to know her. Don't think I ever really got to know anyone. Even myself unfortunately

Getting to know someone means wanting to get to know them. Ask questions, take them places and try things and see what they think.

 

Perhaps take them to a place that means a lot to you or where you grew up. Having little in common doesnt have to be the death of a relationship if you build interests together. You just gotta be open to it.
