I personally think that with all of modern technology that a lot of people don't know what it takes anymore to have a good relationship. They want to text thru the phone all day instead of just pick up the phone and call that person when they are right beside it. Texting is great a way to quickly chat when you're working etc but it should still be time daily set aside to invest in speaking with your significant other always. No one should have to remind you to call them or pick up the phone as it's just common sense that a lot of people sadly in relationships don't have.

I think it matters about the topic. I think texting is nice. You can throw something small out there at anytime. If you have to get something done or just want to hear your SO then a call is in order.

I didn't think this was such a common thing.

But I recently dated a guy. .....who texted only. The first week into it we talked on the phone one night for 5 hrs. But after that no phone calls....id say it was important to me if I wasn't going to see him often because of his work schedule and what not....let's day 1-2x every two weeks. That a phone call every now and then would be appreciated. He said he'd try but never did. And since he was that way....I never felt comfortable calling him up myself. He said in his past relationships he never spoke on the phone ever....and just texted the girl once a week to see if each other were alive and to make plans to see one another. Well to me that's hardly even a friendship.

So needles to say it didn't work. Out dating styles were not the same.

I know, now a days it's a pain to always be on your phone. But I mean..... if the guy is constantly active on social media but can't take 2 min to reply to a text or give you a call....then there is a problem.

I for one am old school. Phone calls are also important to me and shilvery too.

Actually texting or calling is not dating or a relationship. Dating is seeing someone In Person on a regular basis. Calls or texts are for the staying in touch in between dates.

I personally think that with all of modern technology that a lot of people don't know what it takes anymore to have a good relationship.
