wanderer21 Posted February 15, 2017 Posted February 15, 2017 I dated this guy for about 8 years. He cheated the whole time. Broke up with me and had two girlfriends within the first year post break up. Ones he's been with now for almost a year. Cheats on her all the time too and still he gets to be happy and in a relationship. He hasn't gotten any of his karma. We have all the same friends and now he keeps bringing his new gf around which causes me even more pain. Why does the cheater who still cheats, get to find good girls to ruin without ever having to pay? Also since the day we broke up he keeps on insisting I'm his best friend and that he'll always love me and that he wants me in his life. Finally cut him off recently but still can't move on fully.
Matt3939 Posted February 15, 2017 Posted February 15, 2017 No such thing as karma. What does exist is people that this guy can manipulate. Only thing you can do is heal and realize not everyone is like your ex. Good luck

Clio Posted February 15, 2017 Posted February 15, 2017 He doesn't find good girls. He finds girls who are willing to put up with his crap. These girls are equally damaged albeit in a different way. His karma is being part of messed up relationships. It is there, you just don't see it.
Dahl Posted February 15, 2017 Posted February 15, 2017 Hello, Wanderer, and welcome to the forum. I think that the answers you've received to your question are solid and I hope they resonate in a way that you feel you can immediately utilize. What I wish to add is this: give yourself permission - and more importantly, a fighting chance to move on - by ceasing your struggle to understand this fellow, his thoughts and his behavior. You don't have to worry about it to heal. Focus instead - and solely - on you, your thoughts and behavior. You are the important party, here. Don't allow what was or what might have been to consume you. Absolutely, don't even consider what might now be - from any perspective but yours, your life, your present and future well-being. You're free from a negative relationship and the wearisome affects of it and this man. As best you can, exalt in your fresh start. Make the most of it, for you. Make this time exclusively about you. You deserve your time, effort and attention. This bloke does not. I wish you the best of luck.

Learn and grow from this.
