Strange, in person

This guy who i need to interact with work..

He seems very normal over the phone

 

But in person, its like he's a bit weird.

He'l come sit really close to me, he'll keep looking at me, straight into my eyes.

And he's a bit softer. Hard to explain.

 

On the phone he seems really free, fights with me and is more himself.

Without more data I have to agree with Betterwithout, he comes across as wanting to initiate something with you but can't (shy) or won't (co-workers). Also worth asking you both come from the same culture (Texans/Americans)?

I think you like him and want him to like you, otherwise it wouldn't occupie your mind for so long.

Maybe talk to him, find out what's there or ask him out!

It's been proven scientifically that when a man likes a woman he'll sit close to her because he wants to be near her. Staring can make one feel uncomfortable, but generally when a man stares at a woman it's because he likes what he sees. Also some men will soften their voice or the way they act around the woman that they like. So I feel he is displaying this type of behaviour because he is attracted to you.

 

It seems like you might be attracted to him as well, if you weren't interested in him you wouldn't analyse his behaviour around you in the way that you have. You should talk to him more in person, show that you're interested and he will probably loosen up around you a little and then take it from there.
