Valentines day gift

Make it simple and make sure it's not wedding-album-like. One nice photo of you two in a nice (not cutesy) frame may be better.

What about a romantic dinner and homemade desert or something really more for him than yourself?

Hi.So this question is going out to the men. I wanted to make a special present for valentines day. I was thinking of a photo album with pictures of special days for us. Of course decorated with some pretty stuff. Wold a guy appreciate or like a gift like this?

Hi.

So this question is going out to the men. I wanted to make a special present for valentines day. I was thinking of a photo album with pictures of special days for us. Of course decorated with some pretty stuff. Wold a guy appreciate or like a gift like this?

I want to add that you know your boyfriend better than all of us. Have you ever done anything like this for him? How long have you two been dating? Is he sentimental?

Alright, under the assumption we're talking about liking a gift, not whether I'd accept it. Of course I'd accept it with a forced smile, but no, I wouldn't like it. Not at all. First off, not much of a photo person altogether. Second, not much for cheesy memorabilia. Third, as someone else mentioned, even if the pictures are of both of you, it's totally a gift with you in mind, not him. Now that's not saying I don't think the idea is cute, but it's definitely a "for us" gift and not a "for you" gift. That's something you do more spontaneously as a hobby and have a look at together with him.

Now the one caveat is if it's established that sappy, non-utilitarian memorabilia is just how you both do Valentine's gifts. Then, by all means.

But I would ask yourself what you honestly want or expect from him as a gift. Nice chocolate? Jewelry? Shoes? Something that gives you an actual benefit? If so, then I would say he deserves you going to some effort to get him something that particularly benefits him.

Yes a guy would love that!!! But if you want to add to that you can make it funny and cute too! For example; my boyfriend is a total puzzle lover! I'm getting him a super special 3D wooden puzzle, and a drinking glass with a funny joke on it, and a brand new superhero wallet since his old one is faded. Get him something that fits his personality! What does he like? Coffee? Get him a cute mug! Does he like food? Take him to his favorite place! Working? A cute paperweight! Just add things you know he'll love! But Valentine's day isnt Christmas so you don't need to lose sleep over it! It's more about spending the day together with your lover! Have a great Valentine's day! I'm sure he'll love whatever you get for him!

Guys are pretty simple creatures so don't go overboard on something that like has been said is for both of you, not just him.

Now if you did the album with just pictures of him doing stuff he loves to do like fishing, camping, tailgating, playing a sport and if you get your hands on some pics of when he was younger doing those things that would be a pretty cool gift. In fact my sister had made me 3 albums that I cherish dearly. Two have pictures of all the things I love to do with new and old pics including my son and my family and friends (think snapshots in time of my life) and the other album is of my dog that died a few years ago with lots of pics of us and my son with him. She knows I don't really do things like that for myself so she did them for me and I love them more than any gift.
