Peck on a cheek

I went with this guy on two dates. The third time, he asked me to go over to his place to watch a movie. We ended up having sex. There was a lot of cuddling and kissing. In the morning, before I left, he gave me a book to read. He kept in touch over the next few days, asking about my day.

He also mentioned he had more books if I was interested. Then, he asked me to hang out again, and suggested either his place (everything else was closed, Christmas day) or to wait and go to a bar the day after. I went to his place. We again slept together and had a breakfast in the morning (at a nearby breakfast place). This all sounds good to me. But when, I was leaving he kissed me on the cheek and said "I will see you soon?", to which I said yes.

I am confused, why only a kiss on the cheek. I mean, we were kissing the whole night, what's the big deal about goodbye kiss. Does it mean he wants to keep things casual?

You shouldn't base his intentions on a peck on the cheek.

Maybe you should ask him what he's looking for instead?
