Firstly great community here. Has helped a lot. I'm doing NC and so far so good. This might be a dumb question but is transferring money to an ex breaking NC?

What does it matter if its breaking NC or not? It doesn't change anything. There are no hard rules to NC. Its not a law.

 

Why would you want to transfer money to someone you don't want contact with?

if you owe them money, there's no "rule" stopping you returning it as you should.

Yeah, if you owe the money, it's business. Just be straightforward, business-like, brief as possible. Ideally, JUST send the money, no words needed. Get it done ASAP.

If someone owed you money, would you be OK with them not paying you back because of some NC rule? Always try and do the right thing. If you owe, pay it back.

Are you legally divorced? You can not default on a debt under the guise of "no contact". A debt is a debt.
