I ended messaged the guy that I want to get to know better last night. (Synopsis: he goes to college in another state. We know each other from a mutual person. I chose to message him on Facebook because otherwise we'd never cross paths.) We talked for a few hours and used emojis and he asked questions about me and I asked questions about him so it seemed like he was interested as well. Maybe he was just being nice and didn't want to blow me off. I don't want to message him again and be annoying so I'm thinking just wait it out and if he never answers it's a sign it's not meant to be? Do guys wait to message girls back?

He messaged me a few hours after I posted my original post. We talked for a bit and then asked me why I messaged him and I didn't know what to say so I said cause he has pretty eyes and he seems nice..... I crack under pressure as you can see Then we talked for a few hours after that. He brought up things like we should study together and new things we should try together, so that's good right?

He just goes to college in another state. He comes home for holidays and the summer

I'm picking this won't really get cranked up until he's home over the summer. So at the moment, just cruise. See what happens when he's home and got heaps of free time for you.

He's home right now for Thanksgiving but I don't want to take time away from his family. So you would be correct, if anything does happen!
