Low mood 8 months after breakup

Hi everyone

It's been 8 months since my ex broke up with me and I am still feeling very low. During this time I have had to deal with the suicide of my best friend and death of my grandfather. I remain friends with my ex however it has been very hard as I still love him and he is enjoying being single and has been on dates with other girls. Both he and some members of my family can't understand why I am still upset and have low mood. I am beginning to wonder if I am truly depressed or if keeping my ex as a close friend is not helping my mood. I've had to deal with loosing 3 people within a 2 month period, I feel like this is something that takes time to heal but no one understands.

Is it normal to feel like this after such a "long" time?

It's normal to feel this way after all of this. But your biggest mistake lays here : "I remain friends with my ex" . Having constant reminder is not good. Look at it as rubbing a wound,it heals faster if you dont touch it.
