Anonymous09
So, long story short. I'm homeschooled, can't drive yet(no permit or license). Because of that I don't get to go out often. I don't live in a big city, the closest bus is 40 minutes away(by car). My parents were letting me go to this youth group, I started going in Feburary but my parents stopped taking me in April. Because they thought it was a "waste of time". I couldn't walk there, because to get there I would have to walk in traffic on the interstate. Would it be messed up(in your opinion) if I asked the people in charge of the youth group, if they would be able to give me a lift there and back sometimes if I gave them gas money? I was thinking about calling a cab, but(I've used them before) and last time I used one they charged $80 to where I was going and $80 back and since I don't have a job(you can read my other post here about that) I can't spend too much for a cab. What would you do? Link to comment
HeartGoesOn
How did you come up with 160.00 after not ever having a job? Link to comment
Seraphim
The people running the Youth Centre have no authority to drive you anywhere . In fact they could lose their job . I work in a youth centre and there is absolutely no way we are allowed to drive the children anywhere . Link to comment

melancholy123
Ask the people who run the youth group if there's anyone in your immediate area who could give you a ride. $160 for a taxi is crazy! Link to comment
Mummyenl
I think this should fall with your parents and nobody else. Could you not explain to them how important it is to you, how much you enjoy attending and then they may continue to take you. Just because they feel it is a waste of time, doesn't mean it is to you. Good luck, hope you get it sorted xx Link to comment
Wiseman2
Are your parents in a cult? I'm homeschooled, the closest bus is 40 minutes away(by car).
